Tesco puts an end to its 24-hour stores!

Tesco is renowned for its handy 24 hour opening times, however the supermarket top dog has just announced that it will be ending 24-hour shopping at 76 of its stores.

The company has explained that the majority of its stores receive very little custom during the night, most likely due to the growth in popularity of online shopping.

The affected stores will close between midnight and 6am which will apparently affect four hundred staff.

There are currently 400 24- hour Tesco stores around the country.

The company has said that they will do their best to make sure that any staff who are affected are found a new position either in their existing store or a store close by to them.
