Tesco Slow Cooker Recall!

There has been a product recall on a slow cooker sold in Tesco due to the plugs unexpectedly breaking and exposing live parts posing a risk of electric shock.

The notice reads ‘Tesco is taking the precautionary measure of recalling our 3L and 5.5L Slow cookers after identifying that on a very small number of units, the plug may unexpectedly break, exposing live parts – posing a risk of electric shock.

AFFECTED UNITS: – Units fitted with KDJ branded plug only. – Units with batch code running from 150501 to 151031 (Format YYMMDD). – Sold from 1st July 2015 to 31st December 2015.

Tesco insists that if you have the affected unit to stop using IMMEDIATELY.

You can return your slow cooker to the nearest Tesco Extra or Superstore for a full refund or replacement.
