Tesco to axe some children’s drinks for health reasons.

Tesco, the UK’s biggest supermarket is axing some of the top selling children’s drinks brands to tackle childhood obesity, according to a new report.

Trade magazine, The Grocer, reported that the high-sugar drinks will be removed from the supermarket when the children go back to school in September after the summer holidays.

This will apparently happen on September 7 with the drinks either replaced by no-added-sugar alternatives or Tesco no-added-sugar own-label products.

Some of the brands that face the axe include Capri Sun, Ribena, Rubicon and Jucee.

I would love to know what you think about this. Do you think Tesco should axe sugary drinks that are targeted at children?
