Thomas Cook Sharm El Sheikh Update!

I have some breaking news regarding travel advice to Sharm El Sheikh released by Thomas Cook.

The travel firm have confirmed that they will be extending its cancellations of trips to the resort in Egypt up until at least the 31st October 2016.

Flights were cancelled last year after the bombing of a Russian passenger jet. As a result of this, the Foreign Office decided to advise against any travel to the area until May 25th. However, this has been extended until October 2016.

No Thomas Cook passenger jets will fly to the Egyptian resort over the summer. The popular travel firm would normally expect to fly 4,000 passengers to the resort between now and the end of October.

People who have holidays booked before this date will be able to either cancel their holiday or choose another destination free of charge.

Thomson announced last week that they would also make changes to a number of flights and hotels for holidays booked up until the end of October.
