Heading to McDonald’s soon? Here’s how you can snap up free food and money-off meals

Get a free burger or McFlurry with a valid NUS card

If you’re a student and you’ve got a valid NUS card, you can claim a cheeseburger, Mayo chicken or McFlurry.

But here’s the catch, you’ll only be able to snap up this offer if ordering from the Extra Value Meal menu.

Free extra toppings

On the self-order screens or via McDonald’s app, you can add toppings for free to any burger (ketchup, mustard, pickles, lettuce or mayo).

For an even better reason to hop down to McDonald’s, if there’s already your chosen topping in the burger, you’ll get double the amount for free.

Avoid paying for sugar tax on drinks

If you’re a fan of soft drinks, you’ll probably have heard that there’s tax on some fizzy drinks.

But in McDonald’s, you can avoid paying for it if you can keep your hands off Coca Cola (not Diet or Zero).

So to steer clear of having to pay that extra 8p, buy another drink off the menu. Tadaa!

Free cheesy bacon flatbread

Treat yourself to a free cheesy bacon flatbread (normally costs £1.49) when you buy a hot drink (from 99p).

This deal, however, is only available via McDonald’s app, so if you don’t have it, it’s time you get it!

The giveaway is running every day until 10.30am and ends Sunday 14th April.

Lookout for McDonalds vouchers

Keep your eyes peeled for McDonald’s vouchers on bus tickets and/or car parking tickets.

The vouchers usually have £1.99 meal deals so if you’re out and about, look out for some tickets embellished in the McDonald’s logo.

Make use of McDonald’s Monopoly for free prizes!

McDonald’s Monopoly is one of our favorite promotions in which you can win free prizes and food.

Last year, McDonald’s gave out around £1.5m free food, Mini Coopers, and £100,000 cash prizes!
