I received a message earlier today from Laura.

I feel the need to post this urgent safety notice regarding children’s bedding…

A while ago, you may remember us posting a recall on toddler bedding from Argos because of the risk of strangulation if the thread comes loose – see it here.

Well, it turns out that B&M sell the same bedding but didn’t recall them! 

Laura sent us a message saying ”I bought my sons toddler bedding from b&m. I woke this morning to him screaming then sounded like he was choking then fell silent. I ran into his room & his pillow was coming apart & the thread was wrapped around his neck! I am totally disgusted & shocked that this was made for a child! I am so upset by this. To think this could have been a very different situation if my son had not of woke up and cried first when he felt this tied round his neck!! I have now also been told that Argos recalled the same bedding but b&m did not recall & continued to sell it knowing there was a possibility that it could choke a child”

This is a very scary situation and we hope Laura and her son are OK. 

If you bought any toddler bedding from B&M, be very careful and check for loose threads.

I have contacted B&M for a statement and to see if they will be calling for the product to be recalled…
