Why I believe Yours Clothing are best for plus size fashion…

If you have shopped with Yours Clothing you will already know why, for everyone else this is well worth a read.

I haven’t always been plus size. Back in the day I was just like every other teenager and wanted to be like the pop stars and celebrities I saw in magazines, which resulted in the eating disorders Bulimia and Anorexia. I battled it for years before I finally decided enough was enough, I wasn’t happy.

I finally decided ‘why be like everyone else? Why not just be yourself? Why try and please others? You are fabulous the way you are.’ Over the years I have put weight on but do you know what? I’ve never been happier. Because I am on TV and in the media a lot I often see tweets aimed at my size or how I look and I simply no longer care!

Having put weight on, I’m now shopping for a size 20 and I have found that not enough clothing stores cater for us curvy women. Those that do tend to think we only want black, shapeless cover-ups, which couldn’t be further from the truth.Yes I’m larger than most, but I want something fun, something colourful, something that will reflect my funny, sarcastic personality! I also find that retailers mass produce one design in a size 6 to 26, but what looks good on the average woman may not look good on a curvy woman and vice versa. I did manage to find a few plus size clothing stores but I wasn’t impressed with their prices or styles.

One day I was out shopping at Intu Metrocentre when I come across ‘Yours Clothing’ and I thought I would pop in and see if they did plus size clothing because the dress they had in the window was gorgeous. To my delight it was all plus size clothing! I don’t think I have ever taken so many items into a changing room. There was no struggle trying to choose between two black plain tops, there was so much colour, so many designs, so many different styles… I was in my element!

One thing I always struggle to find in a top is length, I have a mummy tummy and I like long line tops to hide this, there was so much for me to choose from and I remember looking in the mirror and thinking for the first time in goodness knows how long ‘I look good in this’.

Like many women my size, I also have wide feet – EEE size to be precise! This was a nightmare for me, as I was never been able to buy nice looking shoes and it had been years since I wore a pair of heels – I simply couldn’t find any to fit me! Then I spotted Yours Clothing shoe range, which was all EEE! I found the most gorgeous pair of heeled ankle boots which I wear all the time now.

I couldn’t believe how good the prices were too. With offers and deals on their PJ’s and shoes as well as great value clothing it is affordable for everyone. Over the years I have noticed how good their sales are too, they currently have an up to 70% sale on. I think I spent about £200 that day and left the shop with a whole new wardrobe.

Now I finally have a favourite clothing store which caters especially for us gorgeous curvy women, helping us to dress our curves and make the most of them rather than hide them. I have never been happier, I am so much more confident and it’s all down to the right clothing and shoes from Yours Clothing.
