A study warns that thousands of carers are missing huge chunks of money from their retirement funds because they’re not claiming pension credits.

The study released by Royal London found that only 3,500 carers claim the national insurance credit. There are currently more than 155,000 eligible carers in the UK who aren’t claiming this extra cash.

These credits will earn carers an extra £237 per year. That’s a whopping £4,700 during a 20 year retirement!
